Then, on November 6, 2024, in connection with reporting third quarter financial results, DENTSPLY issued a press release revising its 2024 outlook to reflect that organic sales are expected to be down 3.5% to 2.5% year-over-year compared to its prior outlook that organic sales would be down 1% to flat. Following this news, the price of DENTSPLY’s stock fell $6.72 per share, about 28%, to close at $17.26 per share on November 7, 2024.
