Jason P. Reska

Jason P. Reska is a partner of Kaplan Fox & Kilsheimer LLP and has been associated with the firm since June 2008.  Mr. Reska engages in a multi-disciplinary practice focusing on real estate, estate planning and private client services. 

Mr. Reska has experience negotiating, drafting and executing the full range of transactions, documents and other legal matters related to the real estate industry including the sale, purchase and leasing of condominiums, cooperatives, commercial properties, multi-family properties, single-family dwellings, and other types of real property in New York and New Jersey.  Mr. Reska has also been involved in the complete renovations of multi-family buildings into single family residences and other alteration and renovation projects throughout New York.  Mr. Reska has also provided guidance to numerous clients related to ยง1031 like-kind exchanges and has represented numerous residential property owners in administrative and judicial proceedings protesting real property assessments throughout New Jersey.  

Mr. Reska also provides sophisticated estate and personal planning to individuals and families on a range of sensitive business and personal matters, including the planning and preparation of wills, trusts and related estate-planning documents, insurance planning, prenuptial agreements, succession planning and charitable gifting.  

Mr. Reska further offers a variety of legal services tailored to the needs and demands of small business owners and entrepreneurs from establishing their entities to purchasing and/or selling their companies.  These services include business entity formation, negotiating buy/sell agreements, confidentiality agreements, employment agreements, general releases, non-disclosure agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements and other related documents.

Mr. Reska is actively engaged in pro bono matters working with many charitable, educational and other not-for-profit institutions.  He resides in Wyckoff, NJ with his wife and two children.  Mr. Reska earned his juris doctorate from New York Law School and his bachelor of science from Fairfield University.  Mr. Reska is licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey and is a member of the New York City and State Bar Associations.
